This Earth Day, the Cowichan District Hospital (CDH) Replacement Project is celebrating its future as a sustainable healthcare facility, with more space for patient care and a reduced environmental footprint. Cowichan’s new hospital is the first fossil fuel-free hospital in BC and Canada’s first hospital to achieve Zero Carbon Building – Design™ certification from the Canada Green Building Council. Join us for an uplifting tour of the future Diagnostic & Treatment Centre, Patient Registration and lounge spaces, Emergency Department and an inpatient unit, and get a sense of what the new facility will look like when it opens for patient care in 2027.
