Volunteer Resources & Engagement is proud to support volunteer programs within Port Alberni, Tofino and Ucluelet. 

Volunteers in the Port Alberni, Tofino & Ucluelet areas support Island Health patients, residents, clients, site visitors, and even staff through a variety of different programs.

A few examples include: emergency department support (supporting patients when they arrive at the emergency room), social engagement volunteer (one-on-one social interaction with residents and patients) and experience volunteer (providing wayfinding and information to patients and clients visiting clinics within the hospital).

We support these Island Health locations in this area:

• West Coast General Hospital (Port Alberni)
• Westhaven Long-Term Care Home (Port Alberni)
• Tofino General Hospital
