Parking in the lots near the Emergency Department and Renal Services at Nanaimo Regional General Hospital will be temporarily reduced on Monday, January 20 and Tuesday, January 21.
Approximately one-third of the parking spaces in the lot closest to the Emergency Department, accessed from Boundary Avenue, will be unavailable between the evening of Monday, January 20 and early afternoon of Tuesday, January 21. The Renal Services parking lot, located adjacent to the Emergency parking area, will be closed during the same period of time. The closures are necessary to accommodate the use of a crane that will unload a large magnet for the hospital’s new MRI.
Emergency and pedestrian access to the Emergency and Renal Departments will not be affected. The hospital’s main parking lot, accessed from Dufferin Crescent, will remain open. If you are visiting the hospital between Monday evening and Tuesday afternoon please allow extra time and follow all directional signage.
