PORT ALBERNI – Island Health’s Renal Dialysis and Public Health Services in Port Alberni will soon be relocating to 4201–6th Avenue. This new location, which will provide our clients, patients and staff with improved space, is currently being renovated and is expected to be open in early April.
Public Health services will temporarily be provided in three separate locations:
4201 6th Avenue
- Environmental Health services
- Drop-in to talk with a public health nurse
- Screening for newborn jaundice, infant weight checks, breastfeeding support
- Harm reduction information and supplies
4259 6th Avenue (Rear Entrance)
- All scheduled clinic appointments
Early Years Centre located at EJ Dunn School
Prenatal and Parent Groups including:
- Lunch Clubs
- Grow With Me
Renal Dialysis patients will receive further details from Renal program leadership as the completion date nears.
All existing service phone numbers will remain the same.
