May 27: Finding Freedom: Freezing Nerves to Reduce Spasticity & Pain

      Monday, May 27 (4 - 6 p.m.)

A Film Premiere and Reflections by Dr. Paul Winston & Patients

Join us for the public premiere of Frozen Patients: Cryoneurolysis and the Reduction of Spasticity and Pain, a 35-minute documentary that explores a promising and innovative treatment for people living with spasticity due to stroke, MS, cerebral palsy, and traumatic brain injury. Developed by Victoria-based physiatrist Dr. Paul Winston and anesthesiologist Dr. Daniel Vincent, this research-driven clinical innovation is now changing care locally and globally.

Cryoneurolysis (nerve-freezing) relaxes tight muscles and eases tone, restoring movement and reducing pain. It has immediate and long-lasting effects, and works for patients between the ages of 5 to 95. Watch Dr. Winston work, hear from physicians worldwide, and learn about the experience of patients and family members who have found relief with restored mobility. Watch Cynthia's journey with cryoneurolysis.

The screening will be followed by a panel discussion with Dr. Winston and patients who have lived experience of the procedure and its impact.
