Hornby Island Medical Clinic

Hornby Island Medical Clinic provides primary health care services to the residents of Hornby Island. This includes care for illness and injury, chronic disease management, palliative care, and preventative care.

The following roles support team-based care and services at the clinic: administrative clerk, remote certified registered nursing, physician, and Primary Care Network resources of social work, dietician, pharmacist, and mental health consultant.

Appointments are required and can be made by calling 250-331-8631.

Urgent Care Services

This is not a walk-in clinic. Appointments for urgent medical issues due to injury or illness can be made Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m., by calling 250-331-8631. This clinic also supports ambulatory outpatient services.

After Hours: A nurse or physician is on-call for urgent care after hours, seven days a week. Call 1-888-581-4360.

Child Health Clinics

We offer child health clinics for infant immunization and assessment, family coaching, prenatal teaching, and school immunizations, provided by a public health nurse. The clinic is offered on the second Friday of each month. Home visits can also be arranged.

Home Support

Home supports are available for eligible clients. Contact Community Health Services to access.

Laboratory

Laboratory services are offered by Lifelabs on Tuesdays and Thursdays weekly on-site. Call ahead for hours/availability.
