How to register for research ethics or operational review at Island Health for first-time users
To register for an account in the Research Services Portal, email ResearchEthics@islandhealth.ca and provide the following information:
- First & Last Name
- Institutional Email Address*
- Primary Institution Affiliation
- Work Telephone Number
- Main Work Location (if at hospital):
*You must use your Island Health email address or the email address associated with your institution. According to Island Health policy 16.4.2.3 Acceptable Use of Assets and Resources, only use the email account provided by Island Health when conducting Island Health business. Gmail, Hotmail, or other email providers are not accepted for account setup with the Research Services Portal.
An email confirmation and password reset link will be sent to your email address to complete the account setup process.
Making Changes to your existing Research Profile
If you wish to change any information in your profile other than your email address, click My Profile on the top right of your dashboard. Be sure to click Update to save your changes.
Please note that because your email is your username, you cannot change it in your profile. Please email ResearchEthics@islandhealth.ca with your name, your old email address, and your new email address and we can make the change for you.
