Adults can get immunized through their local pharmacy or physician beginning October 8.
Victoria – People living with addiction and people who are ready to begin a pathway to recovery will now have greater access to the services they need.
Comox Valley – In its first year of operation, the Comox Valley campus of the North Island Hospital has moved capably into the role of providing acute-care services in the community, supporting approximately 5,700 hospital admissions, more than 28,000 Emergency Department visits
Duncan – The Cowichan Valley is home to communities, organizations, governments and government agencies committed to improving the health and care of the people who live throughout the Valley. Island Health has been proud to partner with these groups to advance healthy communities.
Victoria – Island Health, in partnership with the Capital Regional District, supports all efforts to promote outdoor public spaces free of smoke from tobacco and vapour devices, as well as cannabis (when legalized).
Campbell River – The North Island Hospital campus in Campbell River is celebrating its first anniversary and marking the milestone with approximately 5,000 hospital admissions, 25,000 Emergency Department visits and nearly 400 babies born.
Salt Spring Island – Free public Wi-Fi is now available to patients and visitors at Lady Minto Hospital thanks to financial support from the Lady Minto Hospital Auxiliary and Lady Minto Hospital Foundation.
Duncan – Free public Wi-Fi is now available to patients and visitors at the Cowichan District Hospital thanks to the Cowichan District Hospital Auxiliary and the Cowichan District Hospital Foundation who have fully funded this initiative.
