About Victoria General Hospital
The Victoria General Hospital (VGH) is an acute care facility that provides emergency/trauma services, general surgery, medical treatment, rehabilitation, geriatrics and pediatric services to people in the South Region of Vancouver Island. VGH is located just off the Trans-Canada Highway at Helmcken Road in the View Royal Municipality of Greater Victoria.

June 2024 - We are currently managing an extremely high number of applications and our volunteer programs are at capacity. We do not expect to reopen applications for several months.
If you are working with a deadline to complete volunteer hours or are looking to start in a volunteer role immediately, we suggest you reach out to Volunteer Victoria or BC Cancer - Victoria for information about other volunteer opportunities in the Greater Victoria area.
