We provide services for individuals with moderate to severe adult mental health and substance use concerns.
Services provided
- Screening, assessment and treatment planning.
- Referrals to the most appropriate service, team or community resource.
- Connection to mental health and substance use services such as counselling, psychoeducational groups and addiction medicine consultation.
Services not provided at this time:
- Assessment for ADHD & Autism.
- Walk-in psychiatric service (referral required by a family physician or nurse practitioner).
- Mental health housing.

How to access services
- Start the self-referral process by booking an appointment with our team: 250-709-3040.
- We accept referrals from individuals, clinicians, community agencies and health and social services professionals.
- Psychiatrist consultations require a referral from a family physician or primary care provider.
Rapid Access Clinic
The Rapid Access Clinic (RAC) in Duncan is a walk-in clinic offered through Mental Health and Substance Use. Adults can drop-in for one crisis counselling session with a mental health and substance use clinician (non-psychiatry) and receive information and referrals for connecting with the most appropriate service.
How to access services
- No referral needed. Walk-in appointments Monday – Friday from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.
- Individuals seen based on the initial assessment and priority process.
- Same day appointments are not guaranteed.
- Mental health housing cannot be accessed through the Rapid Access Clinic.
