Residents on income assistance pay a flat rate. Items not included as a part of the monthly fee include: telephone, cable, hydro, personal laundry (if not part of care plan), household and toiletry supplies, medications, personal care products and insurance.
Private pay residents pay set rate per month and which does not include personal care costs.
Selkirk Place offers a wide variety of recreation and leisure programs, lead by friendly and qualified recreation staff members, under the direction of the Recreation Therapist. Each resident is encouraged and supported to increase personal wellness in their physical, social, emotional, spiritual and cognitive domains, through recreation participation and exploration.
Residents can choose to enjoy baking and special meals in the resident kitchen; explore arts and crafts in the Studio; read and relax in the sun lounge; sing, dance or watch movies in the recreation room; or challenge themselves to a group crossword puzzle in the fireside Lounge.
