Parking at Island Health

Most Island Health sites have paid parking for patients, visitors, staff, and physicians.
You can pay for parking:

Island Health does not use QR codes for parking payments.
For parking details at a specific hospital or site, visit Locations.

Parking exemptions:

You may not have to pay for parking in certain situations. Talk to your care team or volunteer coordinator to ask about a parking pass. You may qualify for free parking if you:

  • Are receiving active cancer treatment or renal dialysis (including related tests and appointments)
  • Are a parent or caregiver staying overnight with a child (18 or younger) who is admitted to hospital
    • This does not include extended Emergency Department visits
    • This does not include routine childbirth stays, unless your newborn remains in hospital after you are discharged
  • Are a registered Island Health volunteer
  • Support someone in long-term care at least twice per week

If paying for parking is a financial hardship, please contact Parking Services. We review requests on a case-by-case basis.
