Western Communities Mental Health & Substance Use

We provide a single access point for individuals seeking adult mental health and substance use services in the Western Communities (formerly Westshore), including View Royal, Colwood, Metchosin, Highlands, Sooke and Port Renfrew.

Services provided

• Same day, single-session counselling appointment
• Screening and assessment
• Referrals to the most appropriate service, team or community resource
• Connection to services such as counselling, case management, psychiatry, substance use supports and withdrawal management (detox)

How to access services

• Drop-in appointments: 
  o    Monday to Friday, 9 a.m. – 11:15 a.m. and 1 p.m. – 2:15 p.m. 
  o    Wednesdays, 9 a.m. – 11:15 a.m. 
• Phone-in appointments:
  o    Call us at 250-370-5799
• Ask your primary care provider to fax a completed MHSU Referral Form to 
  250-370-5724.
• We accept referrals from individuals, clinicians, community agencies and health and social services professionals.
