Building Description
Sidney Care Home is a one-storey building, wood frame construction, with gardens on three sides. The gardens are fenced with locking gates and include areas for gathering with tables, chairs and umbrellas.

The building features a large lounge/activities room, dining room, enclosed courtyards, hair salon, extensive garden areas and outdoor secure courtyards with table/chairs.

Type of Accommodation
We have 44 single rooms with en suite and five double (shared) rooms with larger ensuites. Rooms vary in size. All rooms have garden views and all are on the ground level.
Cost
Residents pay up to 80% of their after-tax income which covers the cost of food and accommodation.
Special Recreational Opportunities
We offer specialized activities including picnic at the park, Canada Day parade, musical theatre, and visits to Government House. We have a walking program available, one-on-one time, a daily exercise program for those able to participate, as well as pet therapy and in-house entertainment.
Accessibility
We are a ground level, secured facility with no steps and locked exterior gates.
Motorized Scooter Policy
For safety reasons, we do not allow motorized scooters. There is no storage space available on the grounds for scooters and scooters are not permitted inside the building.
Pet Policy
Visitors are encouraged to bring well-behaved pets for visits.
Smoking Policy
There is no smoking on the grounds or in the building. There is no smoker's lounge available.

Any Other Amenities
All food is prepared fresh daily and on-site. All of our rooms are on ground-level, so there are no elevators for elderly residents to deal with, and exterior access is greatly simplified.
