Building Description
Nanaimo Seniors Village offers 150 long-term care rooms contained in 10 resident neighbourhoods, comprised of 15 rooms each. The Village is set on approximately seven acres of green space with garden areas, large garden patio and beautiful ocean views.
Building Amenities
Each neighbourhood grouping has a dining room, active and passive lounge and window seats for external viewing.

The Village is conveniently located close to Vancouver Island’s largest mall with grocery stores, medial clinic, pharmacies, and is close to banks, churches, and an array restaurants. Nanaimo’s regional library is located next door.

Model of Medical Care/Physician Organization
This facility has a core physician model for medical care. Residents are assigned to a physician who has a number of other residents at the facility, attends on a regular basis, coordinates care with other core physicians and works closely with care staff at the facility.

Pet Policy
As per Island Health pet policy. Visiting pets are encouraged, provided they are vaccinated and well-behaved. Dogs are to be kept on a leash, and the owner must clean up after their dog if required.

Provincial policy requires all visitors to be informed: "Violence, foul language and abusive behaviours are not acceptable. Verbal threats or acts of violence will not be tolerated and may result in removal from this facility and/or prosecution.”
