How to get a Referral
The colposcopy booking office accepts referrals from General Practitioners, Nurse Practitioners, Naturopaths, Midwives, and Gynecologists.
The Colposcopy booking office will call you with an appointment.

Colposcopy directions:
- Come in via the main entrance.
- Turn left at the elevators. Walk down the long corridor towards the end of the hall.
- Colposcopy is located on the left, under the sign “Ambulatory D&T Unit".

Tuesday: 8:30 – 11:30 a.m.
Wednesday: 8:30 – 11:30 a.m.
Thursday: 8:30 – 11:30 a.m.
Closed Mondays and Fridays, weekends and statutory holidays
Preparing for Your Visit
We ask that you please eat breakfast before your clinic visit.
If you require extra assistance to ambulate, change clothes and/or for toileting, please ensure that a caregiver accompanies you to your visit.
If you are driving, please allow for extra time as parking space is limited.
If a translator is needed, bringing a family member or a friend to translate is encouraged. Island Health will provide translation services over the phone if required.
After Your Visit
You will receive an individualized procedure handout, specific to your colposcopy procedure.
For the results and recommendations from this clinics visit, please make an appointment to see your referring doctor within 6-8 weeks time.
