Island Health Public Board Forum
The Island Health Board of Directors hosts board public forums in communities located in the north, central and south Island regions of Island Health. The forums include a regional update from Island Health’s President and CEO and local Medical Health Officer with time for general questions from the public.
Upcoming Board Forum
Join the Island Health Board of Directors for an in-person Public Forum in Victoria. This event will also be streamed live for those who cannot attend in-person.
Date: Wednesday, December 4
Time: 6 – 7:30 p.m.
In-Person Location: Burnside Gorge Community Centre, 471 Cecelia Road
Why Attend?
- Get an update on health and care delivery from Island Health President & CEO Kathy MacNeil and meet local Island Health leaders.
- Meet your local Medical Health Officer, Dr. Christina Kay for an update on public health and wellness.
- Enjoy a community presentation.
- Have your questions answered by the Board. Questions can be asked by in-person attendees during the forum, or online (in-advance only) by emailing asktheboard@islandhealth.ca
We are collecting donations for the Christmas Hamper Program at the Burnside Gorge Community Centre. We encourage individuals attending the Public Board Forum to bring donations!
Suggested donations include:
Non-perishables
- canned proteins (ie tuna, chicken)
- canned sauces
- pasta
- rice
- canned pastas (ie Chef Boyardee)
- boxed non-perishable holiday sides (ie mashed potatoes, scalloped potatoes, stuffing)
- gluten free items
- instant mac and cheese
Hygiene
- shave kits for youth
- toothbrushes
- toothpaste
- hair elastics
- deodorant
