Anne McFarlane is a retired civil servant with experience in Saskatchewan and British Columbia and the former vice-president, Western Canada with the Canadian Institute for Health Information. Previously, she worked for the BC Ministry of Health as an assistant deputy minister responsible at different times for PharmaCare, planning, policy and finance. Active in her community, she sits on the Board of the Association of Faculties of Medicine of Canada and Canadian Blood Services.
Ms. McFarlane has previously been a board member of Providence Health Care and the Michael Smith Foundation for Health Research. She holds her Bachelor of Arts from State University of New York at Geneseo, her Master of Arts in Philosophy from the University of Toronto, and her Master of Science in Epidemiology from the University of Saskatchewan
Anne McFarlane was first appointed to the Board of Island Health on December 31, 2017. Her current term expires on December 31, 2024.
